Tension Mounts as Nigeria’s Security Chiefs Hold Emergency Meeting Over Donald Trump’s Military Threat

 


Nigeria’s national security leadership has gone into emergency mode following a shocking statement by former U.S. President Donald Trump, who hinted at possible military action in Nigeria over alleged persecution of Christians.

According to credible reports, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Nuhu Ribadu, convened an urgent closed-door meeting with all service chiefs and heads of intelligence agencies at the National Counter-Terrorism Centre (NCTC) in Abuja on November 3, 2025.

Sources reveal that the high-level meeting focused on assessing Trump’s remarks, which suggested that the U.S. might consider deploying troops or conducting air strikes in Nigeria.
