Chidinma Tells Court: “I Regret His Death” in Ongoing Ataga Murder Trial
In a new development in the high-profile murder case of Super TV CEO Michael Usifo Ataga, prime suspect Chidinma Ojukwu told the Lagos High Court that she “regrets his death.”
The statement came during cross-examination at the Tafawa Balewa Square High Court, where Chidinma responded to emotional questions about her connection to Ataga and the events leading to his death.
Despite expressing regret, she maintained her innocence, insisting she was not the last person to see Ataga alive. She further denied leaving the apartment with his laptop and iPhone, countering prosecution statements.
The case — which has captured national attention since 2021 — continues to unfold, with digital evidence, witness testimonies, and forensic analysis still under review. The court has adjourned the matter to allow further cross-examination and presentation of exhibits.
As Nigerians await the final judgment, this latest courtroom statement has reignited public debate over the controversial case.
