๐Ÿšจ Three Nigerian Women Arrested in India for Drug Trafficking in Gurgaon

Authorities in Gurgaon, Northern India, have arrested three Nigerian women for allegedly trafficking and distributing illicit drugs in the region.

According to reports from the Times of India and The Guardian Nigeria, the women were identified as Precious, Gift, and Joy. They were arrested by the Gurgaon Police near Bakhtawar Chowk, following a detailed surveillance operation targeting a suspected international drug network.

Police sources revealed that during the raid, several packets of MDMA (Ecstasy) and cocaine were recovered from the suspects’ apartment. The drugs were reportedly meant for distribution across Delhi and nearby states.

The arrest forms part of an ongoing crackdown by Indian authorities on the increasing trend of foreign nationals involved in narcotics trafficking. Investigators believe the group was part of a larger syndicate that sources drugs from different parts of Asia and Africa.

“We’ve dismantled a critical supply chain in this area. Investigations are ongoing to trace their local and international connections,” said a senior Gurgaon police official.

The women are currently in custody and are expected to face multiple charges under India’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

This latest development comes amid growing concerns about cross-border drug networks operating between Nigeria and India, with both countries collaborating on intelligence sharing and law enforcement coordination.

Authorities urge the public to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities as efforts to curb drug trafficking continue.
