💥 Abuja Attack Foiled: How FCT Police Arrested 4 Notorious Kidnappers Planning Independence Day Carnage!

 In a decisive, intelligence-led operation, the FCT Police Command apprehended four high-profile criminal suspects who had confessed to not only a string of violent crimes but also to plotting a major coordinated assault on the nation's capital.

Acting on credible intelligence, the Anti-Kidnapping Unit of the FCT Police successfully tracked and arrested the four notorious suspects in their hideout in the Sauka area of the FCT.

The arrested individuals were identified as:

  • Yau Sani, a.k.a. Baba (an ex-convict)

  • Nuhu, a.k.a. Giwa

  • Kabiru Mohammed

  • Yusuf Hassan

The suspects revealed chilling details of their criminal activities, confessing to a series of kidnappings across the FCT, Kaduna, and Niger states, which included the murder of seven victims.

💣 Most disturbingly, the gang confessed to their "intending plans to attack some government institutions and estates within the FCT" on Independence Day. This proactive arrest by the police, therefore, may have prevented a major security crisis and widespread chaos in Abuja.

Following the arrests, the suspects led police operatives to another hideout in the Gauraka Forest, Suleja, Niger State, where they uncovered a dangerous cache of weapons:

  • 4 AK-47 Rifles

  • 13 AK-47 Magazines

  • 162 Rounds of 7.62 mm Live Ammunition

This success underscores the commitment of the FCT Police Command to neutralize criminal threats and ensure the safety of residents, especially during national celebrations.
